Cookie Policy

Applies to backboneperformance.eu and cedricdevlieger.com. Below is exactly what we store in your browser, with and without your consent. It is a short list.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Without consent

This is needed to make the site work and contains no tracking.

  • Your cookie choice itself: stored in your browser’s local storage under the name backbone-cookie-consent, with a date. After 12 months we ask again.
  • BACKBONE Teamscan: one cookie per scan (scan_ followed by the project code) that remembers you entered the access code correctly, valid only on that page and only while your browser is open. Until you submit, your browser keeps your answers in local storage on your own device; they are removed there when you submit.
  • We place no other cookies. No session cookies, no marketing cookies.

2. With consent: statistics

If you click Accept in the banner, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Only then does Google place these cookies:

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors, 2 years.
  • _ga_ followed by a code: keeps the session state, 2 years.
  • Purpose: understanding which pages are read and where visitors drop off. Google LLC (US) processes your IP address and browser characteristics for that. If you click Decline, or do not click at all, nothing from Google is loaded.

3. Changing your choice

At the bottom of every page you find the link Cookie preferences. It reopens the banner. If you choose Decline after accepting earlier, we delete the Google cookies immediately. You can also delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

4. Third-party services

  • Cloudflare Turnstile runs on pages with a form to keep robots out. During that check Cloudflare may briefly store technical data in your browser. No profile is built.
  • If you pay for the book, that happens on Stripe’s site, where Stripe’s cookie policy applies.
  • Videos and podcasts link to YouTube and Spotify. Only when you open such a link do you land on their site and their policy applies. The preview images on our pages are hosted by us.

5. Changes

If anything changes, we update this page. Questions: cedric@backboneperformance.eu.
